Workshops – Day camps – Birthdays at the museum
Keen to organise a variety of original activities for children, the Cultural Mediation Service offers regular opportunities for 4 – 12-year-olds to learn and have fun at the same time!
Workshops, day camps, birthdays, and more. During each visit, the children will be able to:
- Travel from Prehistoric Times to the present day;
- Experience sensory and interactive discoveries;
- Share moments of fun and friendship.
CERAMIX WORKSHOP 4 – 8-YEAR-OLDS
On the first Wednesday in the month, learn and experiment with a new aspect of ceramics. A new programme, a themed visit and a creative workshop every month. Then you can take your creations home!
- First Wednesday of the month, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

ARCHEOX WORKSHOP 8 – 12-YEAR-OLDS
Are you curious and do you like archaeology and science? Then come to our discovery workshops on the third Wednesday in the month! You can become an archaeologist, a palaeontologist or a geologist.
- Third Wednesday of the month, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm
- From 8 to 12 years
- € 6/workshop – € 25/five-workshop card

THE DAY CAMPS
During school holidays (November half-term, Easter and Summer), week-long day camps are organised at the EMA and the Scladina Cave. These take place from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Child-minding services are also available. They are supervised by the mediation team, which devises fun, creative or scientific activities for each day camp, linked to the themes of ceramics, archaeology and creativity.
- Fun’Ceram is intended for children aged 4 to 6 years and takes place at the Espace Muséal d’Andenne (EMA).
- Archéo’Fun for 8 – 12-year-olds takes place at the Scladina Cave.
- Préhisto’Fun for 5 – 8-year-olds takes place at the Espace Muséal d’Andenne (EMA)

CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY AT THE EMA!
Are you between 4 and 8 years old and would you like to celebrate your birthday by doing a creative activity with your friends? In that case… take them on a real treasure hunt through the rooms of the museum.
Work with clay in a ceramics painting workshop! Plus: Take your creation home!
- On Wednesdays or Saturdays
- Length: 3 hours (1-hour visit + 1-hour workshop + 1-hour birthday snack)
- Rate: € 120
- Cakes and candy not supplied (fridge available)
- Maximum 12 children
- At least one adult must be present (the rate includes free admission for two adults)

CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY AT THE SCLADINA CAVE!
Are you between 6 and 10 years old and are you fascinated by prehistory and archaeology? Together with your friends… Discover the cave following in the footsteps of Raga, an eight-year-old Neanderthal girl.
Come and learn to hunt bears and analyse ancient fossils. Be creative, drawing inspiration from cave paintings.
- The rates and conditions for this birthday formula at the Scladina Cave are the same as those applied at the Espace Muséal d’Andenne.
